Sewing
YOU CAN TEACH YOURSELF TO SEW!
Get started by familiarizing yourself with the machine you have access to; read the handbook. It will take some time to get acquainted. The initial hurdle with a new machine is mastering the threading process. After that, before attempting to sew on fabric, use a piece of paper. Draw some straight lines followed by curves and practice stitching along these lines. Once you feel confident, progress to fabric. Start with a small project, such as a handkerchief or repurposing old jeans into shorts. Mending is creative practice, too! Next make yourself or a loved-one a tote-bag. I still have the one I made for myself when I was a teen, thirty years ago. Enjoy the adventure!
Little House on the........
This was my first long-sleeve dress, as well as my first collar. My daughter loves it. The print and soft blue is a delight.
God Bless America!
This was a fun, patriotic dress for girls! Yes, God, country and horses, y'all!
